The Balcas Golf Society

The Balcas Golf Society was established in 2005. The Membership fee is £20 per year and membership is open to all Balcas staff AND friends of Balcas staff.

There are currently 35 members enrolled. The 2013 Society Captain is Ivan Read, Secretary David Humphreys & Treasurer Robert Johnston.

The Society normally arranges 8-12 outings each year, meeting monthly at a variety of links and parkland courses within a 1 hour drive of Enniskillen.

We have regular outings at beautiful venues such as Slieve Russell, Murvagh, Bundoran, The Lough Erne Resort, Fintona, Newtownstewart, Clones, Omagh, Castle Hume, Enniskillen, Strandhill, Dungannon, and County Cavan Golf Club.

It is a self-funding organisation, using fee revenue & sponsor support to ensure that several prize categories are contested at each outing. The Society attracts the keenest & cheapest green fees at each venue, often subsidising the cost to members. Outings are open to both members & guests.

Each year, the Society enjoys an Annual Golf Weekend away, a chance to let the hair down & enjoy good company! Weekend venues have included Westport, Rosapenna, Radisson Roe valley, Hilton Templepatrick, and Glasson near Athlone.
